Scope of works:
ERM was recently contacted by a valued client to overhaul a 2840kVA Alternator. The client required the alternator to be overhauled and returned within an urgent turn around, as it was essential to their operations.
ERM’s team worked closely with the client to understand their specific needs and requirements. They then developed a detailed scope of work. Once the client had approved the scope of work, ERM’s team immediately began work on the project.
The alternator was carefully disassembled and inspected. All the components were cleaned and tested, with critical parts replaced. The team also took the opportunity to make some minor upgrades to the alternator, which would improve its performance and reliability.
Once the alternator had been overhauled, it was assembled and tested in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. ERM’s team also conducted additional live tests / pre-commissioning to ensure that the alternator was operating safely and ready for installation, reducing commissioning time on site.
The alternator was then painted and packaged for shipping. ERM’s team delivered the alternator back to the client on time and within budget.
